"Red Gold Trading Company was established in 2008. "Red Gold" represents the bloodline of a people transported from one part of the world to many other parts of the world. Traders came to the country looking for every form of capital; be it gold, oil, spices, crops, or textiles. However, the most valuable resource; the people themselves, remain the lasting legacy of West Africa around the world. These people were not allowed to carry with them the riches of their lands, nor were they allowed to retain the fruits of their own labor. However, what these people did maintain and distribute was the most precious commodity they ever possessed: the blood of their homeland.

From territory to territory, differing peoples developed under the constraints and influences of varying sets of circumstances. They mixed with indigenous as well as occupying peoples, spreading a genetic imprint throughout the range of the Western world. Along with this imprint came imports of culture that spread just as quickly, and the markings of this culture have taken deep root within each territory touched by the movement of this trade.

Today, carriers of this "red gold" cover the span of the Western World, from the tip of South America to Canada; from Amsterdam to Johannesburg and below. Each are products of the exchange and travels of a displaced people, but all trade and exchange products of their respective cultures as full proprietors. Red Gold Trading represents this exchange, seeking to both preserve and present the value of this intercontinental tradition."
